process pumps.
Peerless
pumps are a major manufacturer of fire
pumps and fire pump systems, from single
pumps to large diesel driven systems.

The hydroconstant
has been made by
Peerless in the USA and UK over the years.
It has also been made under liscence by
FMC, Powerwise and Varley over the last
30 - 40 years.

Pump Co. hold the serial number records
to all the hydroconstants sold in the UK
and Europe over the last 40 years or so.
We can identify spare parts and replacement
units for any unit still in operation.
Hydroconstants
are still used throughout the UK by customers
such as the Bank of England, Lloyds of London,
United Utilities and many other water authorities.
They have a very long and reliable working
life often not requiring parts for over
20 years. This makes them a very cost effective
and sensible investment compared to other
newer technology.
The basic
use for a hydroconstant is to maintain a
constant water pressure in a system irrespective
of the flow demands. This is done by using
a fluid coupling to vary the output speed
of an attached centrifugal pump creating
a flat curve in terms of pressure against
flow.
This
is of particular use in large building where
a particular pressure is required but demand
is unknown or variable.
Hydroconstants
can also be used to maintain flows and liquid
levels, this is of particular use in breweries,
dairies and production lines.
The beauty
of the hydroconstant is that it can be coupled
to any make or type of centrifugal pump
which gives it a vast range of applications
from clean water to hygienic and industrial
processes.

application. We can offer the pumps to both
USA specifications and European specifications.
The
pump is available with threaded or flanged
column, the threaded pump is available with
open or enclosed shaft.

of oil or water lubrication, underground
or surface discharge.

ANSI
/ ASME Process Pumps
Used
in the chemical, process and paper and pulp
industries the model 8196 ANSI or ASME process
pump is a heavy duty centrifugal pump with
back pull out design. It is of outstanding
design and quality used worldwide.
Materials
available are Ductile Iron, 316SS, CD4MCU,
317SS, Nickel, Alloy 20, Hastelloy, Titanium,
Zirconium, plus many alloys.

from -68 to +260 deg C
